This is our dining room table. The aperatus on top of it is referred to as "bank lights." It provides overhead lighting in the blue spectrum to help break down the bilirubin in Graham's blood. The hose going in the right side is for the Wallaby lights (see below). |

Here's Graham sleeping inside the bank lights. Note that he has pushed his "sunglasses" off his eyes which is why somebody needs to watch him when he's under the lights. Prolonged visual exposure to the bank lights may cause permanent color blindness. |

An alternative method of treatment is to use Wallaby lights, which you can see underneath Graham in the picture on the right. The Wallaby generator (shown on the left) contains the blue light and "pipes" it throught fiber optic cables contained in the "hose" mentioned above. These fiber optic cables fan out into the flat piece of plastic on which Graham is laying in the picture on the right. Normally, the piece of plastic (which is sheathed in light cloth) is wrapped around the babies midsection and is used without the bank lights. Graham is getting a double dose and has all sides covered. |
