Riot Aftermath

On the night of the riot, things were still chaotic several hours after the police cleared Pioneer Courthouse Square. KOIN-TV had two satellite trucks on the scene. The protestors blocked the eastbound Max track making it impossible for me to ride the Max home until TriMet set up a shuttle to the east side of the river. Evidently there was not enough time for this cop to park his car correctly.
The next afternoon all of downtown was swarming with cops, ostensibly to keep the rabble-rousers from repeating the previous day's activities. These cops were talking to a citizen at Pioneer Courthouse Square. I was glad just to be able to get home on time.
