Graham digs in by the shores of Yellowstone Lake... |
...while Thomas throws rocks. |
Graham watches Grandma Ring walk down the beach... |
...and then gets upset at being left behind. |
The water in the lake was crystal-clear. |
Note the storm on the other side of the lake. We drove into it a little later. |
Thomas mugs with Grandma Ring by Twin Geyser. |
Note he is only slightly wet from the first downpour. We got much wetter shortly after this. |
Waiting for Old Faithful |
The boys amused themselves by playing with this dog in front of us. |
Note all the people waiting for Old Faithful with us. |
When it finally went off, all we saw was steam which turned into water that fell on us. |
We met this guy after we left Old Faithful. Just a few minutes prior, we had spotted his cousin behind the Old Faithful Inn. |
Cars were backed up behind him for at least a quarter mile. He was oblivious. |
The next day we gazed at Yellowstone Grand Canyon. |
Actually, I just cringed. |
In the distance, you can see the upper falls. |
The boys show their obvious excitement for this petrified tree. |
Thomas feeding the ground squirrels. |
Several ate crackers right out of his hand. |
We were tired and it was hot and those springs didn't do much. |
