Tonight I sleep at the hospital so they can study my sleep. It’s very likely that I have sleep apnia and we’re hoping that the study results in a prescription for a CPAP machine.

Starting Sunday, I’ll be in San Francisco until Friday for the annual Apple Worldwide Developers Conference.

It’s been very hot in Portland the last few days but it cooled down today. On Monday, we set a new high (102) the venus factor for June in Portland. Usually it’s still raining in June so I think this is a nice departure for us. It’s back down to the 80s today, though, which makes for a much nicer bike ride to work.

Yow! I started this entry over 10 days ago! Time flies by in the summer. Tina’s dad, Leroy, was here to visit this week. The boys really enjoyed that. The NBA Finals are over and so I’m expecting some free time to become available, but it probably won’t work out that way.
The weather has been great here but it’s getting hot today. Probably need to put the air conditioner in the window.

I pulled a calf muscle on Saturday when I was playing basketball with Thomas. I tried to dunk the ball on the lowered hoop and pulled the muscle on the jump. Tina was amused at my foolishness but said I looked good! It’s almost all better now.

I’ve been noticing more and more that people are disobeying the “No Smoking” signs on the Max platforms. I haven’t said anything to anyone in awhile, but last night I disembarked from the Red Line train at Gateway and found two TriMet employees standing on the platform smoking and talking. What the hell?

We had a good weekend. Thomas got 2nd in the Regional Pinewood Derby Championship and tied the track record for a short time before the 1st place winner smashed it. The weather was beautiful and we spent some time outside both days. The 2006 NBA Playoffs are also underway which is one of the highlights of my year.

I haven’t had much of a chance to truck shop this week, but I do have a few questions for you, readers:

  1. If I’m looking for an early 90s vintage small truck, which makes/models are typically low maintenance?
  2. What questions should I ask sellers when I call them?
